Accessing the ACORN Training Environment

Access to Child Online Records Network (ACORN), ESIT's data management system, will replace the ESIT DMS Silverlight application in January 2022. Our new ACORN system is now available to all users in a training environment. This training environment is being updated with new sections of the system as they become available. Users can log into ACORN and explore this new platform, as well as leave feedback for our partners at Substantial.

To log into ACORN, you will first create a Secure Access Washington account. Please use Google Chrome and log in here.

You will see this screen – click on Sign In:

From this screen, you will be transferred to SAW Washington to create your account:

Please Sign Up if you have not previously created an account for ACORN. This is a test environment, so if you have a SAW Washington account for another application, the log-in credentials will not work here. Follow the instructions on the screen and activate your SAW account. You will be prompted to set up the multi-factor authentication.

Once your SAW account is setup, please log back into ACORN.

You should be automatically signed into the application and directed to this screen:

You can now explore the new ACORN system!

Please note that there is a Feedback button at the bottom of the screen:

If you click this button, you will be able to access a form to provide feedback about your user experience, suggestions for changes and improvements, and ideas for further enhancements to the ACORN system.

Your feedback is sent directly to our partners at Substantial who will respond to your suggestions.

If you have feedback you would like to provide to the ESIT team or are experiencing difficulties accessing this training environment, please email the DMS product owner, Kim Hopkins, at kim.hopkins@dcyf.wa.gov.

For problems with SAW access, please contact the SAW Help Desk directly.
