The Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) program is recruiting for the Parent Institute for Engagement (PIE) program. PIE is a 12-month leadership program for parents and caregivers of children who have received early intervention services through ESIT. We will help you build your skills and allow you to become better leaders, advocates, public speakers and active members in your state.

The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) is soliciting applications for appointments to the Washington State Interagency Coordinating Council (SICC) for infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families. SICC is mandated by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Part C and established through the Governor’s Executive Order 14-03. As such, the Governor appoints the members of the Council. Council members advise and assist DCYF in implementing the ESIT program per the federal requirements of IDEA Part C.
Applications are currently sought for representation in the following vacancies on the Council:

Parent/Caregiver of an infant, toddler, or child with a disability aged 12 or younger, who has knowledge of or experience with programs for infants, toddlers, and children with disabilities

Tribal Leader (any Washington Tribe)
-
Tribal Part C Provider (Bureau of Indian Education funded)
-
Early Intervention Service Provider (from one of the six DCYF regions not currently represented on the council – prioritize rural community)
- Washington Head Start Representative
Interested individuals are encouraged to apply by completing the application on the Governor’s website. In the drop-down list, the SICC is titled Infants & Toddlers with Disabilities and their Families.

HAND IN HAND: COMING TOGETHER TO SUPPORT DIVERSE FAMILIES
A free, online event open to organizations who are interested in providing connections, support, and tools to elevate the voice of families who have children and youth with disabilities or special health care needs.
WSLI’s Mission: To elevate family voice: provide connections so that family voice is respected, amplified, and heard in order to support children and youth with special health care needs and their families at all levels in Washington.
ASL Interpreting will be provided.
Food will be provided for all pre-registrants and all attendees with be eligible for a drawing.
Who Should Attend: Open and free to all, but intended for providers, parent groups, and specialists who work with children and youth with special health care needs.
Please note that sections of the conference will be recorded, but you are not obligated to turn on your camera or microphone during the event.

El Departamento de Niños, Jóvenes y Familias (DCYF) está solicitando solicitudes para citas en el Consejo Coordinador Interagencial del Estado de Washington (SICC) para bebés y niños pequeños con discapacidades y sus familias. SICC es un mandato de la Ley de Educación para Personas con Discapacidades (IDEA) Parte C y se establece a través de la Orden Ejecutiva 14-03 del Gobernador. Un evento en línea gratuito abierto a organizaciones interesadas en brindar conexiones, apoyo y herramientas para elevar la voz de las familias que tienen niños y jóvenes con discapacidades o necesidades especiales de atención médica.
Misión de WSLI: Elevar la voz de la familia: proporcionar conexiones para que la voz de la familia sea respetada, amplificada y escuchada con el fin de apoyar a los niños y jóvenes con necesidades especiales de atención médica y sus familias en todos los niveles en Washington.
Se proporcionará interpretación de ASL
Se proporcionará comida para todos los preinscritos y todos los asistentes serán elegibles para un sorteo.
