The State Interagency Coordinating Council’s (SICC) Public Policy Committee invites you to apply for a position on the newly forming Interpreter Services Work Group. This work group will focus on problem-solving current concerns with access to interpreters for families receiving Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) services. The work group will hold a commitment to equity and social justice at the center of the work. Some goals of the work group include:
- Shared problem-solving to increase access to interpreters
- Draft a one-pager about ESIT services that can be shared with interpreters
- Develop a training for interpreters about ESIT services
We are looking for diverse representation across race, ethnicity, language, geography, community, and role. We are particularly interested in participation of family members, ESIT providers, and interpreters.
Please share this announcement broadly with your networks. If interested, please complete the Survey no later than Friday, April 19, 2019.
