Walla Walla Public Works Week: Engaging the Next Generation
This week, staff at the Service Center welcomed more than 300 students from Walla Walla-area schools. Employees from the Street, Water, Engineering, and Solid Waste divisions, along with the Development Services Department, led interactive stations showcasing the many services Public Works provides, including recycling properly, protecting sewer, water, and stormwater systems, and maintaining the critical infrastructure that keeps our community safe, healthy, and connected every day.
This year’s national theme, “Rooted in Service, Powered by Community,” recognizes the essential role Public Works plays in building and maintaining strong, vibrant communities. Thank you to every team member for their dedication and continued commitment to serving our community and making Walla Walla an incredible place to live, work, and play!
