Heads up if you are planning to take transit to events in Seattle this weekend, June 9-11

If you plan to take the bus to or from Northgate Station this weekend to connect with Link light rail, here's some important information to know as you plan your trip.

Beginning Friday, June 9, through Sunday, June 11, Sound Transit 1 Line will be single tracking overnight from Northgate Station to the University of Washington Station.

On these dates, all trains will use the southbound (to Angle Lake) platforms at Northgate, Roosevelt, University District, and University of Washington Stations:

  • June 9
    • 9 p.m. to end of service
  • June 10
    • Start of service to 9 a.m.
    • 9 p.m. to end of service
  • June 11
    • Start of service – 9 a.m.

What to expect:

  • Service will be delayed, and a transfer will be required at the University of Washington Station. 
  • Trains will be running on the following schedules: 
    • Northgate Station to the University of Washington Station: Every 24 minutes.
    • University of Washington Station to Angle Lake Station: Every 12 minutes.
    • Passengers should prepare for delays or consider alternate routes.

During this work, 1 Line trains will resume regular schedules between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. each day.
