You are receiving this email because you have expressed interest in Community Transit’s Swift bus rapid transit (BRT) network, or you have signed up for email alerts for a route near an existing or future Swift line.
Community Transit is expanding its Swift BRT network with the addition of a third line — Swift Orange Line. Swift Orange Line will connect with both existing Swift lines — the Blue and Green lines. Together, they will form a rapid transit network extending throughout south Snohomish County with two connections to light rail.
Construction starting for Swift Orange Line
Swift Orange Line construction is beginning later this month. Swift Orange Line service is scheduled to begin in 2024. It will serve 13 stations in each direction, including 2 terminals. Several stations along Bothell-Everett Highway will be shared with Swift Green Line. Swift Orange Line will also serve four park & ride locations, including an easy connection to light rail in Lynnwood.
Unique and highly visible, Swift stations include seating, weather protection, ample lighting, a rider information kiosk, real-time next bus signs, and ticket vending machines as well as ORCA smart card readers for fare payment.
Over the next 18–22 months, we will be building these stations along the corridor; that will include underground utility work, concrete platforms, and the station structures. Some of this work will require temporary lane closures and overnight work.
