Weather permitting, the new eastbound lane of 128th Street SW, just west of I-5, will receive a final pavement overlay this weekend. The current right lane will be closed all weekend, and the middle eastbound lane will close overnight on this schedule:
- 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13 to 5 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14
- 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14 to 5 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 15
The retaining wall near Denny’s is nearly complete, and temporary traffic lights, road striping and signage are coming soon.

 Stormwater Vault and Drainage System Progresses On Schedule
Construction on the new Seaway Transit Center continues, making notable progress on the stormwater vault and drainage system on site, and on a concrete retaining wall along the south property line.
Road work continues, affecting traffic as follows:
Seaway Blvd.
The northbound lanes of Seaway Blvd. have been narrowed, and there will be lane closures as needed. Work will continue in this area to install stormwater drainage, a bus pullout area and new curbs.
Any lane closures that are needed will be scheduled for 8:30 a.m. or later.
75th Street SW
Traffic on 75th Street SW will narrow to one lane each way as needed for the next two weeks. Flaggers will be posted to direct traffic and assist pedestrians. Digging for traffic pole foundations will be done at this time.

 Construction on Swift Green Line Stations to Begin Soon
The Swift Green Line stations are in the final stages of pre-construction planning. Actual work will begin in November, starting along Airport Rd., from Hwy. 99 north.
Station work will be done in several overlapping phases, including road work, platform work, traffic signal adjustments, main structure installation and amenities installation.
This newsletter will have weekly updates and www.communitytransit.org/swiftstations will be updated as frequently as details change. In-person and virtual community meetings are also being scheduled.

Swift Green Line to Connect Bothell and Paine Field
Swift is Community Transit's Bus Rapid Transit service.
Washington State’s first bus rapid transit line opened in November 2009. The Swift Blue Line serves a 17-mile route between Everett and Shoreline. It provides fast, frequent and reliable service whether you are traveling from Everett to Lynnwood, Edmonds to Shoreline or anywhere in between.
The Swift Green Line will serve a 12.5-mile route between Paine Field/Boeing and Canyon Park/ Bothell. It is expected to begin service in early 2019.
The Swift Green Line will provide appealing choices for people to travel without a car. Because stations are further apart and fares are paid at the station, Swift buses offer rail-like quickness.
Not only will this route offer fast, frequent service to those living or working between Bothell and Boeing, but the connection to the Swift Blue Line will greatly expand the ease of transit use in our region.
The Swift Green Line will cross the Swift Blue Line at Airport Road and Highway 99, establishing a Swift network.
More Swift lines to the north and east of our county are planned for the future.
