Possible Snow Wednesday into Thursday Morning Will Likely Make Roads Icy.

SANDING TRUCK
  • Sanding Trucks / Snow Plows will continue to be out early in the morning focusing on the main roads for commuters.
  • Work will continue as needed throughout the day and through the evening commute.
  • Leave room for the sanders and snow plows. Stay back at least 200 feet and don't pass on the shoulder.

Ready Your Vehicle

  • Check your battery, wipers, coolant, and other systems affected by the cold weather.
  • Make sure your tires have good tread.
  • Clear snow and ice from all windows before you drive.

  • Drive conditions
                  Slower Speeds
                  Slower Acceleration
  • Watch out for shaded road areas, even when the rest of the road is in good condition.
  • Leave extra room between our vehicle and the vehicle in front of you.  Remember, the larger the vehicle, the longer the stopping distance.
  • Slow down when approaching intersections and curves.
  • Do not use Cruise Control.
  • Four-Wheel and All Wheel vehicles do not stop and steer better on ice.
