Join us learn about critical areas and how they are regulated in the City of Bellevue

Please join the City of Bellevue on Monday, June 16 for an in-person open house about critical areas in the City of Bellevue.

Did you know the city is required to update its critical areas code every 10 years? These updates ensure that regulations are based on up-to-date science and guidance, as well as aligned with state and federal policies.

This open house will provide information on the best-available science used as part of the update and how the critical areas code relates to the Growth Management Act. There will also be an overview of the categories of critical areas the city regulates.

City staff will be asking for feedback from the community on key priorities for protecting and regulating critical areas. This will be the first of three opportunities to engage on this project. Additional information is on the Critical Areas Ordinance Update project page.
