AUBURN'S DOG TROT 3K/5K FUN RUN

Leash up & lace up for Auburn's Dog Trot 2026!

Registration is open for Auburn's Dog Trot 2026! The fun run is set for Saturday, May 16 at Game Farm Park in Auburn. The Dog Trot is a pet/owner 3K/5K Fun Run event, that kicks off the popular Petpalooza festival.

This is a family-oriented fun run event that starts at 9:30am. Participants will follow a 3K or 5K route. The course is flat, easy and enjoyable for all ages and ability levels. Water will be available on the course for both dogs and human participants. The race is 'chip-timed'.

The early registration fee (on or before March 30) is $25/person. Registration includes a limited-edition 2026 T-Shirt, full-color race bib and a participation medal. T-shirt sizes not guaranteed for late registrations. While supplies last for on-site registrations.

Late registration (March 31 - May 12) is $30/person. Sorry, no registration May 13-15.
On-site registration on Saturday, May 16 is $35/person.

REGISTER for the Dog Trot.

DOG TROT RULES OF PARTICIPATION:

All participants must have their race bib on the FRONT of their person
Dogs must be current on vaccinations
No aggressive dogs
No female dogs in heat
No more than two dogs per human
Keep your dog on a 7-foot leash or shorter at all times.
No dogs under the age of six months
Bring your dog only if he/she is well socialized
Please, clean up after your dog
Run or walk the course only if you and your pet are in adequate physical condition
Strollers are welcome on the course
Participants may not switch race distances after May 12
Participants must run/walk the course in its entirety with a dog to be eligible for awards
Route will close after 90-minutes; route is open 9:30am - 11:00am.
Packets that are not picked up by 11:00am will not be available after the event unless we have written notification (email to: events@auburnwa.gov) by 9:30am on race day.

Auburn's Petpalooza is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 10am - 5pm at Game Farm Park. Petpalooza is a FREE event for pet lovers and a special day for your four-legged family member or other furry friend. More information at auburnwa.gov/petpalooza.

Petpalooza is kicked off with the 9:30am Dog Trot 3K/5K Fun Run. The event features an animal-related entertainment stage, flydog and agility demos, the 'Unleashed' Pet Contest, an agility area, a petting zoo and other children's activities, a large variety of vendor booths, adoptions, give-a-ways and lots of activities to keep both humans and pets entertained. Use our 8-week Couch to 5k program to prep you (and your pup!) for Auburn's Dog Trot! If you can comfortably walk 3 miles, you're ready to take the next step. This program uses a gradual mix of walking and running to build endurance and confidence at a manageable pace. We'll meet Saturday mornings for a fun and supportive group training session, and you'll complete two additional runs on your own each week. After 8 weeks of training, you'll be ready for your first 5k and a celebration of all your hard work and progress! This class is not included in the Fitness Membership.
