Big changes are coming to SR 167 later this fall, and we want you to be ready! The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is upgrading the toll system to match other toll roads in Washington. This will bring new equipment, designated entry and exit points, and new rules for carpoolers and motorcyclists.
What’s Changing
-
New Toll Zones: SR 167 will be split into three toll zones with designated access points. You’ll pay the toll rate posted when you enter, and only for the zone where you exit.
-
Carpool Rules: To ride toll-free, carpoolers will now need a Good To Go! Flex Pass set to HOV mode. The number of people required to carpool isn’t changing -- just two or more people -- but you must have the pass set correctly or you’ll be charged.
-
Motorcycles: Riders will need a Motorcycle Pass to avoid being charged a toll.
-
Pay By Mail Option: Don’t have a pass? You can still use the toll lanes, but you’ll be billed by mail -- at a $2 higher rate per trip.
