Winter Exhibition: Muckleshoot: Alive and Strong Exhibition Dates: January 17 - April 23, 2024.
The Postmark Center for the Arts is proud to present ”Muckleshoot: Alive & Strong,” a group exhibition featuring artists from the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe. The Postmark Gallery and Vault Gallery will be filled with artwork in a variety of mediums, sizes, and themes by a variety of incredibly talented artists from January 17 through the spring.
Featured artists include: Isiah Corwin, Sam Obrovac, Kim Saladin, Tyson Simmons, Joyce Starr, Donny Stevenson, Keith Stevenson, and Gail White Eagle.

Introduction to Coast Salish Wool Spinning: Demonstration by Gail White Eagle Thursday, March 7th 4:00PM - 7:00PM Postmark Center for the Arts | 20 Auburn Ave
Join the Postmark in welcoming Muckleshoot weaver Gail White Eagle for an introduction to Coast Salish wool spinning. In this pop-up White Eagle will demonstrate the process from washing mountain goat hair, to prepping it, and finally spinning the wool on a traditional Coast Salish Spindle Whorl. Visitors will be able to ask questions and have the opportunity to gain hands on familiarity with the materials.

Introduction to Coast Salish Weaving: Demonstration by Gail White Eagle Saturday, March 9th 12:00PM - 4:00PM Postmark Center for the Arts | 20 Auburn Ave
Muckleshoot weaver Gail White Eagle will be at the Postmark Center for the Arts for an introductory demonstration to Coast Salish weaving. In this event White Eagle will show the process of starting a weave to final product (through examples and active working time). Visitors will be able to ask questions and have the opportunity to gain hands on familiarity with the materials.

Join the Postmark in welcoming Muckleshoot Carvers for a demonstration in Muckleshoot carving. In this pop-up, artist Sam Obrovac will introduce traditional tools and processes in wood carving. Visitors will be able to ask questions and observe.

Muckleshoot Studio Tour Saturday, March 30 Times: 11:45AM - 1:00PM 12:45PM - 2:00PM MEET AT: Postmark Center for the Arts | 20 Auburn Ave
Sam Obrovac, featured artist in Postmark Center for the Arts’ gallery exhibition “Muckleshoot: Alive & Strong” will be touring two groups through the Muckleshoot Carver Studio. Meet Auburn City Staff at the Postmark Center for the Arts and carpool to the Muckleshoot Studio to get an insider look at the artistic space processes of the Muckleshoot Studio artists.
Two groups will visit the studio for a period of 45 minutes, with the opportunity to ask questions and observe.

 A Closing Reception for the Muckleshoot: Alive & Strong gallery exhibition will take place on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from 5:00 - 6:30PM.
Come and view the closing of a wonderful exhibition, engage with the artists, and enjoy light snacks!
