CITY OF AUBURN: NOVEMBER & DECEMBER PERFORMING ARTS
The BRAVO Performing Arts Season presents an incredible lineup of music, comedy, theater, and kids’ programming as part of the BRAVO Performing Arts Season.
Performances are held in various venues around Auburn, including the Auburn Performing Arts Center at Auburn High School, the Auburn Community & Event Center or Les Gove Gymnasium located in Les Gove Park, Cascade Hall located at Green River College, and Bogey’s Banquet Room at Auburn Golf Course. Additionally, Auburn's new Postmark Center for the Arts will be featured as a venue this season, with several small-scale musical performances.

Friday, November 17 | 7:30 PM Maiah Wynne Postmark Center for the Arts, 20 Auburn Ave.
Maiah Wynne delivers powerful and universally resonant lyrics with a hauntingly beautiful voice. She is currently the lead singer in Envy of None, a project including former Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson. Based in Gresham, Oregon Maiah is an award-winning American singer-songwriter, musician, and actress. She will team up with Cellist Heidi Dubose for this impressive and inspirational evening of music. Tickets: $20/$17

BRAVO KIDS presents StoryBook Theater’s Goldilocks! Golden curls and mood swings do not necessarily mix with an over-pampered, but adorable, baby bear. Can a famished little girl put her spoiled behavior on the back shelf and learn how to be a friend to a lonely baby bear who hungers for a playfellow? Through listening and taking turns, these two misfits discover the power of having fun and being a friend. Based on the familiar fairy tale, this show focuses on a life lesson and has a happy ending. Take a swingin' holiday trip back to the Las Vegas Strip. Joey Jewell's performance combines the incomparable phrasing and vocal texture of Frank Sinatra, and evokes the swaggering spirit of Ol' Blue Eyes and Vegas in their heyday. Backed by Jim Kerl's Swing Session big band, this show has the energy and excitement to keep you going all night. Tickets: $25/$22

Sing in the holidays with this annual free community concert performed by the America's First Corps Army Band. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear this festive and rousing concert presented by the Army’s best! Enjoy all of your favorite holiday music and carols.
Tickets are free but required for admission and will be available for pick-up beginning November 1 at the Auburn Community & Event Center. or can be reserved online. Limit 6 per family.

As a child, Danny Vernon noticed that Elvis Presley's voice, soul and presence would cut through even the deepest of scratches on his father’s RCA records. Danny began singing along with those albums at a very early age. Unaware of Presley's vast impact in American culture, but with a devout passion, Danny would sing and dance along to the King's music, trusting that one day he would be recapturing the magic with his own Illusion of Elvis show on stage. With the rich, smooth sound that vocalist Rebecca Hardiman delivers, you can close your eyes and imagine Karen Carpenter is right there.
