Hello March! With this time of year comes longer days and hopefully some better weather! Here's another issue of Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation's Virtual Recreation. You'll find a list of opportunities, ideas and programs to encourage you stay active and engaged. Be sure to check out "Auburn's Amazing Art" Geocaching Adventure! for some outdoor fun and art exploration. You'll also find links to challenging fitness classes, great craft ideas and some fun opportunities to keep you connected to your community.

"Auburn's Amazing Art" Geocaching Adventure! - This is the perfect adventure for those looking for a fun reason to get outside, explore new parts of Auburn, and see some great art along the way! This great geocaching guides participants in finding five works of Public Art around Auburn. I-phone or I-pad users can download the FREE Adventure Lab app to start their adventure!

Auburn's LUCKY YOU virtual 5K - let the shenanigans begin! Another virtual 5K to keep you moving! Participation is FREE and prizes are available. During a time convenient for you, between March 16 - 21, walk/run/jog/bike a 5K. Post your photo(s) within the event or email us (by noon on March 22) for your chance to win some great swag! Will you be a lucky winner?

Mini Makers Spring Break Camp - be sure to get the kids registered for this fun camp! Space is limited and filling up fast! This camp encourages young people, ages 6-11, to engage in creative STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics) projects. Camp also includes a variety of crafts and other recreational opportunities. Camp runs Monday thru Friday, April 5-9, from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Early drop-off at late pick-up available. Camp held at the Auburn Community & Event Center.

Virtual Story Club with KCLS - Thursday, March 4 at 4:00 PM. This program is for ages 7+. Join Ms. Robbin and White River Valley Museum Educator Ashley Rust to hear and discuss the story 'Cromwell Dixon's Sky-Cycle' by John Abbot Nez. Click HERE to register by 3:00 PM on March 4.

ADDITIONAL PARKS, ARTS & RECREATION UPDATES
The City of Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation Department continues to take a phased approach to re-opening parks and outdoor recreation areas and is following the guidelines from the State of Washington.
PARKS, TRAILS & MORE
PARKS and TRAILS are OPEN. Please practice physical distancing by staying 6 feet apart from others. We encourage park users to recreate responsibly to keep each other safe and help keep parks and trails open.
Game Farm Wilderness Campground is OPEN for groups of 5 or fewer outside your household.
The Auburn Golf Course and White River Disc Golf Course are OPEN.
FACILITY RENTALS are CLOSED.
Informal recreation on BALLFIELDS (softball, baseball, soccer), SPORT COURTS (tennis & pickleball), and other recreation areas such as Disc Golf, Skate Parks, and the Climbing Wall are ALLOWED for groups of 6 or fewer people outside the household. Enjoy your time, but please limit your stay so others may enjoy the fields and courts as well. Physical distancing must be observed and masks are required during all activities. Organized sport leagues and activities must have an approved Return to Play Safety Plan agreement with the Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation.
PLAYGROUNDS are OPEN for groups of 5 or fewer people outside the household. Enjoy your time, but please limit your stay so others may enjoy the playgrounds as well.
Most outdoor RESTROOMS are OPEN. Park users are still encouraged to GO before you GO to a park.
