Auburn's Turkey Trot Virtual 5K

Looking for a safe, free and fun activity over the Thanksgiving weekend? We’ve got you covered! We're hoping Auburn's Turkey Trot Virtual 5K will help people get moving over the Thanksgiving holiday!

Here's how it works! 1. Participation is FREE! 2. Confirm your attendance in 'Auburn's Turkey Trot Virtual 5K' by clicking 'going' 3. Download your FREE race bib (link within the event) 4. During a time that is convenient to you from Nov. 25 - 30, walk/run/hike a 5K (3.1 miles). Pets are welcome to join you! 5. Enjoy! Reminder....please remember to follow social distancing guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Holiday Take & Make Project Kits

Get crafty at home with Take & Make projects!  Pick your project, pick it up at the Community Center during the scheduled pick up times and get craftin’!  Kits contain all the supplies needed to complete your project at home. Supplies are limited. For full details, visit auburnwa.gov/makerspace

Christmas Countdown Blocks | Paint the pieces and assemble your own Christmas Countdown blocks! Recommended for Ages 8 and up. Kit Price: $16 Auburn Resident; $20 non-resident

Holiday Door Sign | Make your door festive with a custom project made special by you!  This is a multi-part project that is lots of fun to put together!  Stain is not provided; all other supplies are included in this kit.

Layered Tree Table Top Décor | Enjoy the steps in this project and see how they come together to make a holiday décor piece.  Stain is not provided; all other supplies are included in this kit. Kit Price: $20 Auburn Resident; $25 non-resident. 

Ornaments for Kids | Settle in for a painting project and customize your own wooden ornaments made for you in the Maker Space! Ages 4 and over. Kit Price: $10 Auburn Resident; $12 non-resident.
 

Holiday String Art | Each kit includes a wood block with an etched design to nail into, then winding string around each nail they'll create a festive holiday art piece. Ages 8 and up. Kit Price: $12 Auburn Resident; $15 non-resident.  


Virtual Santa Visit

Virtual Visits with Santa Claus

Various Dates and Times | November 28-December 19

Santa is gearing up for the holiday season once again. Even though things are a little different this year, you can still visit Santa via the wonders of a virtual online visit. The elves have made time in Santa’s busy schedule and he’ll take a break in his workshop while he chats with your kids. 

Register for a specific date and 10 minute timeframe for a virtual visit. Once you have completed your registration, you will receive a confirmation with more information about the visit. This information must be filled out and returned prior to the virtual session with Santa. Visits are limited to a maximum of 3 children. An additional time slot will need to be purchased if there are more than 3 kids. Once your live video chat with Santa is over, you’ll receive a link of the recorded video call to the e-mail you signed up with so you can then share with your family and friends. Fee: $25 Auburn resident/$32 non-resident per 10-minute session. Calling all fans of Auburn Community Player productions!!! While we can't gather at the Auburn Avenue Theater just yet, the Auburn Community Players are planning a fun, holiday experience. 

This beloved American holiday classic comes to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. With the help of an ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to the stage, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve.

This will be a live online show. Once you have purchased a ticket you will receive a show link to view the show online. Purchase tickets online: $8 individual; $25 family.

Mini Makers Camps

Mini Makers Camp encourages young people to engage in creative STEAM projects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics) along with fun Arts & Crafts, and more recreation activities during the holiday break. This camp runs 9a to 4p each day with early drop-off at 8am and late pick-up until 5pm. Ages 6-11. Must register for camps no later than Friday, Dec. 18, 5pm.

Winter Wonderland Engineering with LEGO® Camp

Build bobsleds, design snowmobiles and take a ride on the Polar Express. Explore your snowiest ideas and learn STEM concepts with tens of thousands of LEGO® pieces at your mitten-tips and the guidance of an experienced Play-Well instructor. All materials used are the property of Play-Well and are not for sale or distribution. Ages 5-10. Must register for camps no later than Friday, Dec. 18, 5pm.
