Senior Center Heading

Meet 1:1 with Occupational Therapy Assistant students Jay or Erica from Green River College to learn more about fall risks. Older adult falls are preventable. They will talk with you and provide handouts regarding: (a) checking your home for safety, (b) evidence-based fall prevention exercises, (c) special considerations when exercising given specific conditions or diseases, and (d) how to safely get up from the floor if you ever do fall. The focus on this 1:1 is prevention and risk identification. Even if you have never fallen, this is a good opportunity to learn the risks. Additionally, it is an excellent opportunity for our students from Green Rivere College to practice talking to older adults about their fall risk.

Meeting can happen one on one at the Senior Center by appointment or via zoom  on November 12.  Call the Senior Center for an appointment.
