Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation continues to serve the community with opportunities and experiences that are COVID adapted, offerings for youth programs (childcare, sports, and enrichment activities),  continued virtual offerings, and a handful of fitness and sport options for adults.

Fitness Membership

Fitness Memberships are now available! Membership includes In-Person Fitness Classes at the Auburn Community & Event Center (reservations are required), unlimited access to Virtual Group Fitness classes on Zoom, Pickleball (reservations are required), and the Group Fitness Class library. 
Adult Membership: $20/month
Senior/Teen Members: $15/month

Open-Gym Pickleball 

Open-gym Pickleball is now being offered at the Auburn Community & Event Center, located at 910 9th Street SE
Pre-registration is required
Drop-in Daily Fee: Adult $4 | Senior (50+) $3 | Fitness Members Free

Register for a 90 minute time slot Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as follows:

  • 9:30-11:00 a.m
  • 11:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m.; or
  • 1:00-2:30 p.m. 

Registration is limited with maximum of one registration per day, per person. Reservations may be made up to 10 days in advance. Reservations can be made by calling 931-3043 or online through Auburn @Play online registration. Check out the step-by-step reservation instructions

Fall Youth 2020 Heading

The Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation Department will offer activities that help youth develop social, emotional, physical, and cognitive abilities as well as expanded learning opportunities. programming allowable under childcare guidance through the WA. State Department of Health guidelines. We are also able to offer a few fitness options allowed under Phase 2 Safe Start Guidelines. 

Based on the guidelines, here is what we are doing to ensure health and safety in our programs: 

  • Curbside check in and health screenings mean only program participants and staff are in our building. Staff will walk participants to their assigned program space. 
  • Programs will only allow for a limited number of participants and are assigned designated space and restroom facilities.
  • Hand washing and sanitizing is emphasized with all participants. 
  • Masks are required for all indoor programs. 
  • Social distancing protocols are in effect.
  • Staff will wear masks as required.
  • Program spaces are cleaned and sanitized with increased frequency.

Sports Fall 2020 Heading

Skyhawks provides a wide variety of fun, safe and positive programs that emphasize critical lessons in sports and life, such as teamwork, respect and sportsmanship. The programs are designed to give each child a positive introduction into sports while fostering a lifelong love for an active, healthy lifestyle. Our patient and knowledgeable staff use a variety of skill-building games and activities to give each athlete a complete understanding and overview of the sport. This class will take place inside gym.

Participants will be placed in groups (by age) of no more than 5 participants per group and no co-mingling of kids in other groups. There will be a max of 10 participants per age group per session. Participants will also be required to wear a face-mask and removal will be directed by Skyhawks staff, generally when involved in vigorous exercise and/or when social distancing is easily maintained. 

Age 5-14, participant will be place in groups based on age/ability level.
