Kate Ampersand

IN & AROUND AUBURN

  • The City of Auburn Virtual Galleries is now pleased to feature the artwork of Kate Ampersand, selected for the Community Center gallery. The theme of her work for the City of Auburn exhibition is reflections; her work seeks to capture "patterns and textures, whether existing in nature or man-made". Unlike many contemporary digital photographers, Ampersand does as little post-processing of her photos as possible. stating that she prefers the "challenge of capturing real life moments as they actually exist, in camera, rather than sitting at the computer producing images that are digital manipulations". For more information about Kate Ampersand, visit her website
  • Be sure to visit the Mary Olson Farm before summer ends! It is open on Saturday and Sunday, from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM thru August 30. Admission is FREE! Bring a blanket and picnic, wander the grounds, meet the animals, review the interpretive panels and so much more.
