Silver Sneakers-Healthways, Optum Fitness or Silver & Fit -Insurance Plan If you have one of these plans on your insurance, it will give you access to the same things listed above for the Fitness membership. Contact your insurance company for more information.
SAIL is a strength, balance and fitness program for adults 50 and older. Performing exercises that improve strength, balance and fitness are the single most important activity that adults can do to stay active and reduce their chances of falling. SAIL consist of a warm up, light aerobics, strength and balance training and cool down. All exercises can be done seated or standing. This class is completely free and does not require a fitness membership or any pre-registration. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30 am
Senior Monthly Fitness Membership $25/month; or $20 per month with auto renewal Membership gives you access to fitness equipment, Silver Sneakers classes, Gentle Chair Yoga, additional select classes offered at the Auburn Community & Events Center, and drop-in Open Gym activities. Nutritional Services & Programs
Daily Lunch: Enjoy delicious, cooked from scratch, balanced meals in a welcoming dining room setting. All meals meet one-third recommended daily allowance for person age 60 or over. Lunch is served Monday-Friday at 12 noon.
Entree of the Day Fees:
- $4.50 suggested contribution ages 60 and over;
- $6.50 fee under age 60.
Salad Bar Only (Single Trip) Fees: (The salad bar is generously supported by the City of Auburn Human Services, Cantebury House and Sharon Schooley.)
- $1 for a salad bowl
- $3 for a lunch plate entree size salad.
Senior Savers Pantry: Shop for low-cost foods twice a month. The Senior Savers Pantry purchases foods in bulk quantity at low prices and re-packages them into individual sizes, passing the savings on to you. A wide variety of items are available, such as cereals, grains, cheese, spices, raisins, juice, soup, etc.

 ABOUT THE AUBURN SENIOR ACTIVITY CENTER: The Auburn Senior Activity Center enhances the quality of life of senior adults ages 50 and older in the Auburn community through social, recreational, health and wellness, educational, and nutritional services and programs. Recreational opportunities include a variety of exercise and dance classes, hiking and nature walks, day and overnight travel opportunities, volleyball, pickleball and drop-in play in the pool room. A variety of special events and monthly luncheon celebrations are offered in addition to a daily lunch program, a monthly food pantry, and an evening social dinner. Educational and learning opportunities are offered through book club, driver’s safety, Spanish classes, art classes, and lectures. A variety of health and wellness programs include foot care, blood pressure clinics, massage and dental cleaning. On-going social time at the center includes board games, card games, puzzles as well as a coffee bar and movie days.
