Hooked on History at the Museum Every Wednesday in July!

Hooked on History is every Wednesday in July from 10:30am – 11: 30am, before the concerts in Les Gove Park. Free admission and historically amazing activities perfect for families with children age 3 -12.

July 1: Land, Sea & Air! Get on board with activities like crafting a foil boat, filling a covered wagon, and climbing aboard the Museum’s caboose.

July 8: Native American Traditions: Explore the culture and traditions of local Native American tribes with weaving activities, puzzles, and storytelling.

July 15: Can You Dig It?  What will you discover as a Jr. Archeologist digging for fossils, sieving for specimens and repairing ancient treasures?

July 22: Inspiring Inventions: Learn about some not-so-modern marvels by making mud-bricks, crafting catapults and assembling a sun dial.

July 29: The Roaring 20’s! Take a trip back in time to the Jazz age with activities like designing flapper headdresses, making neckties, playing historic games, learning the Charleston and more!

no registration required!

 


Late Play Date! July 2, 6 - 8pm

 Stop by the Museum for fun activities and crafts perfect for families, scouts, or community groups with children ages 3 - 12. In July we will feature Fourth of July activities! Free, no registration required.

Summer at the Farm!

Take your family on a trip back in time to the Mary Olson Farm. Kids will love meeting our cows, chickens, and goats and going on a tour of the Olson’s farmhouse. Pack a picnic and spend the day enjoying one of King County’s best preserved historic farms!

Gentlemen start your turnips! Stop by the Farm with the little ones and use your ingenuity to build a car from vegetables. This is a drop-in program, no registration is required and admission is free!
