To continue the building of City Center into our vibrant and walkable downtown, the Planning Commission is considering amendments to the Form-Based Code (the regulations for land use and development in City Center). These changes are intended to promote good design, focus on pedestrian experience, improve permitting efficiency, and encourage investment in our TIF district. The primary changes include:
- changes in how building facades must be broken up
- spacing of doorways
- window glazing requirements
- maximum heights
- allowed and encouraged public spaces and site amenities
- more variation in rooflines
- permitting processes
For more information, please see our project website. To submit public comment, please email the Planning & Zoning Department by May 2, 2025. These amendments are tentatively scheduled for a public hearing at the Planning Commission in June 2025, which will provide additional opportunity for public comment.
