Recreation & Parks and Open Spaces Public Visioning Event
Your ideas can help shape our community's parks and open spaces!
 Monday April 7, 2025 | Senior Center
Share your ideas, thoughts, and opinions about the future of South Burlington's parks and open spaces/natural areas. Complimentary snacks and beverages will be provided for those in attendance. Bring the entire family—kids activities/supervision will be offered. No registration necessary.
The South Burlington Recreation & Parks Master Plan and Open Space Master Plan seek to holistically assess the City's current parklands, recreational amenities, and open spaces.
What will this project do?
- Inventory existing parks and open spaces, including facilities, amenities, and gaps where new parks and open spaces are needed.
- Identify opportunities to enhance outdoor/indoor recreation experiences.
- Review recreation programs and events.
- Develop a guiding plan to help the City expand recreational access, equity, sustainability, human & habitat connectivity, and environmental quality.
Have more questions? Email Adam Matth, Recreation and Parks Director
A community’s Police Chief plays a critical role in holding the trust of the community, ensuring all feel safe in their day-to-day lives and in seeking out public safety services when needed, and setting the standards for all sworn officers of the City.
To maintain the strength of the South Burlington Police Department and ensure the safety and prosperity of the City of South Burlington, the City Manager has developed a process to recruit and hire the best professional for the job.
We encourage you to follow the process on our website, participate in an upcoming community engagement session, or share feedback directly with the City Manager by emailing Jessie Baker.
