Water Quality Superintendent Elected NEWEA President
 Robert (Bob) Fischer, South Burlington Water Quality Superintendent, was elected as the New England Water Environment Association (NEWEA) www.newea.org/ President during the NEWEA Annual Conference in Boston. Bob’s one year term started in late January 2023 at the Annual Conference in Boston, MA. Bob is only the second individual from Vermont to serve as the NEWEA President since its establishment in 1929.
Attention All Dog and Cat Owners - Register your Pets by April 1st
 Do you own a dog or cat? Don't forget to register them with the City prior to April 1st to avoid late fees. Reminder that Saturday, April 1st is the last day to register your dog(s) and cat(s) prior to the fees GREATLY increasing and to enter your pet into our Top Dog and First Feline contest.
Police Get First Hybrid Cruiser
  The Police Department has taken delivery of our first hybrid patrol car. The 2023 Ford Hybrid Utility is currently being outfitted with the latest in cruiser camera technology, the Axon Fleet 3 system.
Keep Vents Free and Clear of Ice and Snow
 Vent Safety
The South Burlington Fire Department reminds you to clear outside furnace, stove, fireplace and gas dryer vents of snow and other debris to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. Always call 911 when carbon monoxide detectors are in alarm.

 The South Burlington Climate Action Plan was adopted in October 2022…Now what? The Climate Action Implementation Plan for the Transportation Sector is underway, and we need your input! The 2030 goals for transportation and land use include electrifying vehicles, reducing the amount of driving, and shifting towards dense mixed-use development.
