Deep Dive into the TIF BOND Vote

The City has posted the Public Information Notice for the upcoming TIF Bond Vote.  This bond would provide funding for four projects in City Center. 

If you would like to become an expert on this ballot question, read this document!   Learn about the mechanics of TIF Districts, important dates related to the City’s district, the budgets for each of the four projects, and which costs may be paid for with TIF funds.  The Notice also has information about the development that is expected to occur because of these public investments, and what the projected outcomes are for the TIF District, the City and the State of Vermont.

Want an early ballot for March 7th annual town meeting election?

If you are looking to have an early ballot for the March 7, 2023 annual town meeting, early voting is happening at the clerk’s office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

Want a ballot mailed to you? There are 4 ways to request one.

• Go to your My Voter Page and request your mailed ballot there.  https://mvp.vermont.gov/
• Go to the early request form on the City’s website Early Ballot requests for 2023 (office.com)
• Email Donna at dkinville@southburlingtonvt.gov.  Please list your name, address you are registered at and where you would like the ballot to be mailed to.
• Call the office at 802-846-4105 to request one. 

As with every Annual Town Meeting, the timing is tight to get the ballot mailed, voted and received back by election day.  Your prompt request for the ballot will mean the early ballot will be mailed to you in time to be mailed back.  We suggest that you mail your ballot back no later than March 1^st.
