American Red Cross Basic Life Support CPR Course
 |
|
Date: Thursday, September 24 Description: This blended learning course combines self-paced online instruction with an in-person skills session led by an American Red Cross certified instructor. Participants learn and practice essential lifesaving skills, including high-quality CPR, AED use, and emergency response techniques for adults, children, and infants. The course uses interactive scenarios to build confidence in recognizing and responding to cardiac and breathing emergencies. Successful completion of both the online coursework and hands-on skills session results in an American Red Cross BLS certification valid for two years. Spaces are limited. Facilitators: Bob Page, CPR Instructor, Edutainment Consulting & Seminars, LLC Time: 9 AM to 12 PM Format: Blended learning – prior to 9/24, registered participants must complete the online portion of the course, including a written exam. The online training must be completed before attending the required in-person skills session. Completion of both components is mandatory to receive the American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider CPR certification. After registering, participants will receive a follow-up email with instructions and access to the online training. Registration will close Tuesday 9/1 so registrants have time to complete the online portion. Location: The in-person skills session on 9/24 will be held at the Charlottesville/Albemarle Health Department (1138 Rose Hill Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22903). Participants will complete the online portion of the course independently prior to attending the in-person session.
