The Bienestar Programs at the Women’s Initiative serves Latina women over the age of 18 in the community. This quarter, the Bienestar program is offering the following groups:

January 29 to February 6, Rediscovering Me: Love without Chains (virtually via Zoom), screening due by January 26
- February 11 & February 25, Cultivating Self-Care (in-person)

March 5 to April 2, Art & Emotions (in-person), screening due by February 26
* These groups will be facilitated in Spanish by bilingual providers/facilitators.
In addition, the Spanish-speaking walk-in clinic will provide a one-time wellness consultation every Wednesday from 2 to 4 PM in person at 1101 E. High St., Charlottesville, VA 22902. If you are unable to attend the walk-in clinic, contact the Spanish-language phone line at 434-328-1800 to schedule an intake appointment by phone.
UVA Health, Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital, Move2Health Equity, and the Dunbar Rosenwald School have come together host the 3rd Annual Dunbar Health Fair on Saturday, February 14 from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Dunbar Schoolhouse (2524 Mountain Hill Road, Palmyra, VA 22963). Free health screenings and educational opportunities available, including:

- Ask the Doctor
- Food Distribution
- COVID-19, Flu, and RSV Vaccinations
- Acupuncture & Massage
- CPR Training
The Charlottesville/Albemarle Health Department (1138 Rose Hill Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22903) is hosting a free sexually transmitted infection (STI) Test & Go event on Tuesday, February 17 from 4:30 to 6 PM.
These free walk-in STI testing events are held from 4:30 to 6 PM on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Testing is available for gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, syphilis, and Hepatitis B & C. Free safer sex items also available. Testing is offered on a first-come, first-served basis with limited capacity. No treatment or exams will be performed at this event.
