Blue Ridge Health District continues to offer back to school vaccine clinics for rising 7th & 12th graders. Tdap, MCV, & HPV vaccines will be available for rising 7th graders and MCV for rising 12th graders. Insured and uninsured children are welcome. All minors must be accompanied by an adult (18 or older). The vaccine clinics will be held at the following locations, dates, & times:

Fluvanna County Public Schools will be holding a Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 9 from 11 AM to 2 PM at Fluvanna County High School (1918 Thomas Jefferson Parkway, Palmyra, VA 22963). Fluvanna County Public School students and their families are invited to attend. The free event will offer:

The Charlottesville/Albemarle Better Together: Back 2 School Block Party will be held on Sunday, August 10 from 11 AM to 3 PM stretching from the Cherry Avenue Boys & Girls Club (1000 Cherry Ave.) to Forest Hills Park (1002 Forest Hills Ave.). The free event will offer:
- On-site student registration
- Sign-ups for free school supplies
- Free haircuts, braids, and new sneakers
- Free sports physicals and health resources
- Literacy stations and free books to take home
- Music, games, food, bounce houses

Join us for a free Infant Safety Class at the Charlottesville/Albemarle Health Department (1138 Rose Hill Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22903 – Enter through door #3) on Saturday, August 23 from 10 AM to 12 PM. The 2-hour class will provide an overview of common household hazards for infants & toddlers, practical tips for baby proofing, and a CPR/choking prevention demo. Pre-register using this link.
