Countdown to VIIS 2025: Training and Access Details
We are counting down with 28 days left before the VIIS 2025 platform goes live on June 24, 2025.
The VIIS Implementation Team is here to support you throughout this transition with the following services and resources:
Accessing VIIS 2025
- Visit the Virginia LMS to start your eLearning. Complete all assigned trainings to receive your VIIS user credentials.
- Users with incomplete training will not be able to log in to VIIS 2025 until training is complete.
- Users with complete training will receive two emails by June 24th:
- Email 1: Unique username
- Email 2: Unique temporary password
- Live support will be available via email, phone, and chat starting on the go-live date. Contact information for live support will be shared in future communications.

Training Highlight
This Quick Reference Guide for VIIS Administrators helps you with the User Management module, especially for managing users in the Registry. It explains important steps for adding new users to the system and how to reset passwords when needed.
- Refer to the Virginia LMS Media Library to refresh and access other quick reference guides and training videos.
Verify Your Email in Current VIIS
As soon as possible, review your email address in the current VIIS system and verify it is entered correctly to ensure you receive your training registration and login details for VIIS 2025.
To check email address in VIIS:
- Log into VIIS
- Under Manage My Account click Edit My User Account
- Verify/update email address – (address should be the same as email used in the LMS)

Prepare for Current VIIS System Downtime

The current VIIS system will be permanently taken offline on Sunday, June 22nd at 12:00 PM (noon) EST. After this point, the old system will no longer be available.

During this downtime, VIIS data will not be accessible until the new system, VIIS 2025, goes live on Tuesday, June 24th at 8:00 AM EST.

All future VIIS access will need to be through the new system.

Note: Querying from EMRs will not be available until Tuesday, June 24th at 12:00 PM (noon) EST.
