News from Our Partners
UVA Health Children's is hosting a Teddy Bear Clinic & Health Education Fair on Saturday, May 3 from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Boys & Girls Club in Albemarle.
A Teddy Bear Clinic helps kids feel less scared and more comfortable about going to the doctor, all while learning how to stay healthy. Children will pretend their teddy bears are the patients, exploring healthcare in a playful, hands-on way. The first 100 children will receive a free teddy bear to participate in the fun (plus free lunch)!
This health fair will also feature education stations staffed by UVA pediatricians and psychologists, as well as community talks on asthma, youth screen time, and early childhood literacy.
