Governor Glenn Youngkin Announces Grants to Support Local Food Production
The latest round of awards from the Governor’s Agriculture and Forestry Industries Development (AFID) Fund Infrastructure Grant program. A total of $264,000 in competitively awarded matching grants will support six new community infrastructure projects aimed at strengthening local food production and sustainable agriculture. These investments span six localities, enhancing markets and a food aggregator while expanding access to fresh, locally grown food for communities across the Commonwealth.

HRSA Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP)
Part C – Capacity Development Program
HRSA’s HIV/AIDS Bureau expects to award 60 grants to eligible applicants that include Rural Health Clinics, Indian Health Service facilities, and community-based organizations that provide early intervention services to people with HIV. Closing Date: March 18, 2025

HRSA’s Federal Office of Rural Health Policy
The FORHP funds a variety of grant programs each year through the Rural Communities Opioid Response Program- Overdose Response Grants to establish and/or expand substance use disorder (SUD) prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery services in targeted rural service areas. HRSA Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training Program for Paraprofessionals
HRSA’s Bureau of Health Workforce (BHW) will award approximately $10.9 million to up to 29 awardees in this program to enhance community-based training for students preparing to become mental health workers, peer support specialists, and other behavioral health paraprofessionals.
