In an attempt to help our network stay connected, I have created a Google Sheet for people to add their contact information to. It will be a handy reference tool in case we need to reach out to our fellow colleagues for information or support. Of course, adding your contact information is voluntary, but I encourage you to do so and to bookmark the page.
It’s hard to believe that 2024 is almost over! Our first year as an Outreach Network has been successful, and we’d like to celebrate our success and the upcoming holidays with a luncheon (lunch provided) and white elephant gift exchange. If you’d like to participate in the white elephant gift exchange, please do not purchase anything new. Find something you no longer use around the house, wrap it up, and bring it to our luncheon on December 11th. White elephant gift exchanges are always good for a few hearty laughs! Please make sure you register here or using the link below, so I have enough food for everyone. Looking forward to seeing you then!

BRHD’s CHWs are hosting their annual toy drives and at-home COVID-19 test kit giveaway events in each of our District’s counties!
Each health department location will host a month-long toy drive during November. Each office will have their own donation box and accept unopened toys only (gift-wrapping is welcome but not required!).
Test kit giveaway events will take place in December in the location’s parking lot – look for our mobile health unit. CHWs will give out four free at-home COVID-19 test kits per person. Everyone is welcome! View more details and the full event schedule on our CHW webpage.

The Women’s Initiative will be hosting a virtual workshop December 3 from 6:30 to 8:00 PM on setting healthy boundaries during the holidays. This workshop is for women and members of the gender expansive community who reside in Charlottesville or the counties of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson.
