Grab your pool floats and join us for a relaxing evening at the pool! We will be offering a new take on the typical Drive-in movie with a DIVE-in movie. All are welcome to bring snacks, towels, and pool floats. All ages welcome! All movies start at dusk usually between 8:30 p.m. and 9:15 p.m..

Bluegrass in the Park
Enjoy live bluegrass music as they perform at the Gypsy Hill Park Bandstand. All concerts start at 7pm and 8pm, during the months of July and August. Rain or shine! Hosted by Staunton Parks and Recreation.

Family Fun River Discovery w/ FOMR
Spend a Saturday morning along the Middle River learning about this aquatic environment and its inhabitants. We’ll get our feet wet as we check out the critters that live in the river and learn about this unique environment and water safety. There will be an art project and plenty of splash time. Bring a bag lunch and enjoy one of Augusta County’s best kept secrets the Middle River. Instructor: Friends of the Middle River. Explorers Club
Who wants to have some fun? Join the Explorers Club for a variety of fun experiences, visiting exciting sites or having a great outdoor adventure. Let your child become a young adventurer with monthly journeys to new locations and having new experiences. The Explorers Club will have planned trips from July to November. Ages 5 and under (parents must remain present on all adventures). Trips held 10am-noon on the third Friday of each month. Price $10 for the season. Register anytime!
Little Seedlings Camp
This camp is designed for kids to discover the outdoors one mud-puddle, bird sound, or quiet step in the forest at a time. The flow of each day will include morning circle, music, storytelling and movement, a nature walk, art activity, and a picnic lunch before pick up at 1pm. Children will learn how to work within a group of peers, enhance listening skills with music exercises, and do hands-on crafts and nature exploration with skilled teachers. Please pack a bagged lunch, water bottle, and extra change of clothes for your child/ren each day. Children must be potty trained in order to attend this program. Instructor: Samantha Campbell of ‘Hey Ho Let’s Grow’. Ages 2-5. MHP, 9am-1pm, Monday–Friday. Price: $150/week.

Float Trip on the Middle River
Dust off your paddles, clean up your boats, and get ready to float down the Middle River. What better way to spend a warm summer day than a relaxing float on the river. Middle River is a great place to unwind and get in touch with local history, wildlife, and maybe even catch a fish or two. This float trip will be led by experienced volunteers from local nonprofit, The Friends of the Middle River (FOMR). Participants must provide their own boat, paddles, and life jackets. FOMR volunteers will provide paddling safety tips, water quality education, and information on river ecology. BYOB: Bring Your Own Boat. Instructor: The Friends of the Middle River. Campcraft and Outdoor Survival Skills
A full day in the George Washington Ntl. Forest learning fire-building, shelter construction, and some back-country navigation skills; useful for hunters, day-hikers and backpackers, mountain bikers, and anyone else who likes to wander off the beaten path. For ages 14 through adult (Teens may attend unaccompanied, but their transportation must be provided by a parent or guardian). After registration, WILD GUYde Adventures will supply a "What to Bring" list, Medical Form/Participant Agreement, and driving directions to the activity meetup. Saturday, July 26, 9am–4pm. Intro to Snorkeling
Skin diving is snorkeling while making breath-hold dives to observe aquatic life, up close and personal. It’s a great way to explore the underwater world when you’re not able to scuba dive or if scuba diving just, isn’t your thing. The PADI Skin Diver course teaches you how to enjoy watching life below the surface and comfortably venture underwater for short visits. Whether you dive in a local freshwater lake or the big blue ocean, at home or on vacation, snorkeling is a unique experience. All necessary equipment will be provided. Instructor: Scuba Buddys. The City maintains an 18-hole, par 71 municipal golf course in Gypsy Hill Park that is open to members as well as nonmembers year round. The course boasts the most affordable rates in the Shenandoah Valley.
