Loudoun Street Closure Begins Monday, March 9

Loudoun Street daytime detour map

Leesburg, VA (March 5, 2026) Loudoun Street between Harrison Street and King Street will be impacted by closures beginning Monday, March 9, through early May.

The full closure of the westbound lane of Loudoun Street near the County Government Center parking garage is needed to allow for the  construction of storm drainage improvements related to the forthcoming Church and Market development at the corner of Church Street and Loudoun Street SE.  The eastbound lane of Loudoun Street will be open to traffic between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Access to and from the County Government Center parking garage will be maintained at all times throughout the duration of construction. The closure will prevent westbound traffic on Loudoun Street SE past the garage entrance on Loudoun Street. Those exiting the garage to travel westbound will need to utilize the garage’s Church Street SE exit and eastbound traffic must use the Loudoun Street exit.

During the overnight hours of 9 p.m. to 7 a.m., Loudoun Street SE between Harrison Street SE and King Street will be closed to traffic in both directions. Access to and from the County Government Center parking garage will be maintained, and drivers entering or leaving the garage are asked to follow flagger direction. The news release posted to www.leesburgva.gov includes the nighttime detour route map.

Drivers are asked to follow posted detours and flagger direction when in the area of Loudoun Street SE.
