Leesburg, VA (October 22, 2025) – An Ashburn man has been arrested in connection with the October 1, 2025, incident involving a firearm discharge in the 700 block of E Market in Leesburg.
D’Angelo E. Bland, age 23, of Ashburn, VA, was arrested on Monday, October 20, and charged with the following offenses:
- Attempted Malicious Wounding
- Using a Firearm in Commission of a Felony
- Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
- Brandishing a Firearm
- Discharging a Firearm in Public
- Discharging a Firearm Across a Roadway
Bland was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.

Leesburg Police Investigating Report of Shot Fired and Assault
Leesburg, VA (October 2, 2025) – The Leesburg Police Department is investigating an assault during which a firearm was discharged.
Last evening, just before 9 p.m., officers responded to the area of the 700 block of E Market Street for a report of a fight. Upon arrival, officers confirmed that a firearm had been discharged during the incident. No injuries related to gunfire were reported.
