September 11 Remembrance Ceremony Scheduled to Take Place at Freedom Park

Leesburg, VA (September 3, 2024) – Please join Leesburg Mayor Kelly Burk and Town Council Members for a brief remembrance ceremony in commemoration of the tragic events and lives lost throughout the United States on September 11, 2001.  

WHAT:     September 11 Remembrance Ceremony

WHEN:     Wednesday, September 11
                  8:30 a.m.

WHERE:   Freedom Park
                  101 Colonel Grenata Circle
                  Leesburg, Virginia 20175

Following the ceremony, the park will remain open to the public until 9 p.m. for those wishing to visit the memorial on their own. Guests are also encouraged to view the Hometown Hero banners, which are also on display at Freedom Park.
