Town to Provide Reimbursement Grants for Tents and Heaters Used for Outdoor Dining

A portion of CARES Act Funding has been allocated by the Leesburg Town Council to provide reimbursement to participating businesses.

Outdoor Tents

Leesburg, VA (November 3, 2020) – In response to the mandated social distancing requirement inside eating establishments, many Town businesses have continued to offer outdoor dining.

As a result, the Leesburg Town Council has allocated a portion of the grant funding provided to the Town through the federal CARES Act to provide reimbursement for the purchase or rental of tents and heaters during colder weather.

Eligible businesses who incurred expenses between March 1 and December 30, 2020 may receive a one-time grant of up to $5,000 for tents or $2,500 for portable heaters as long as the purchase is related to social distancing needs.

Businesses who wish to participate must submit an online application to the Town by 5 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2020. Receipts must be provided and businesses must be in good standing with the Town.

The online application can be found at www.leesburgva.gov/CARESGrants. For more information, or for assistance with an application, email CARES@leesburgva.gov or call 703-771-6676.
