Thomas Balch Library to Offer In-Library Research Appointments
Requests must be made a minimum of 48 hours in advance.
Leesburg, VA (May 29, 2020) – Beginning June 2, the Thomas Balch Library will offer limited in-library research, by appointment only, on Tuesdays, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and Thursdays, from 1 to 3 p.m. This service will be in addition to virtual reference requests.
Appointments must be submitted via the Research Appointment Request Form on the library’s website or by calling 703-737-7195 a minimum of 48 hours in advance.
Once your appointment request is received and reviewed, you will be issued a ticketed research time during one of these time frames. If you are unable to visit the library during the ticketed time, you may reschedule. Please be aware that the library reserves the right to cancel and reschedule research appointments due to staffing limitations or governmental orders.
For the safety of library patrons and staff, researchers must wear masks at all times. Social distancing guidelines must be maintained and researchers must wash their hands and sanitize upon entering the library. For more information, please call 703-737-7195 or email balchlib@leesburgva.gov.
