Town of Leesburg Delays Registration for Summer Parks & Recreation Classes and Programs

Registration pushed back until after the current May 8 date for reopening of non-essential businesses.

Leesburg, VA (April 26, 2020) – The Leesburg Parks and Recreation Department has delayed the start of registration for summer classes and programs by two weeks. Registration for summer classes and programs for Town of Leesburg residents will now open on Tuesday, May 12, 2020. Registration for non-residents will open on Tuesday, May 19, 2020.

Currently, the statewide closure of non-essential businesses will expire on May 8, 2020. However, since Governor Northam has extended that date once already, Town staff decided to push registration back until after May 8, in the event the governor announces another extension.

If Governor Northam delays the reopening of non-essential businesses again, summer class and program registration may also be further delayed, or summer classes and programs may be canceled.
