Leesburg Cancels Springs and Summer Special Events
Leesburg, VA (April 3, 2020) – In addition to the cancellation of the annual Flower & Garden Festival in April, the Town of Leesburg has canceled the following spring and summer special events, in response to the evolving coronavirus crisis:

Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 25. Staff is looking into options for a wreath laying ceremony to be held as a Facebook Live event.

Movies Under the Stars. All three outdoor movie showings on the Loudoun County Courthouse Lawn, scheduled for June 19, July 17, and August 21, are canceled.

Acoustic on the Green Concerts. The June concerts have been canceled. Staff hopes to start the concert series with the July 11 concert.
“Obviously, we are disappointed with having to cancel these events, but our resident’s health and safety is our first concern,” said Rich Williams, the Town’s director of parks and recreation.
