Friends of Leesburg Public Arts “Windows on Leesburg Arts” Fundraiser Kick-Off on Friday, August 3, 2018

Painted windows and shutters auctioned off on September 22.

Leesburg, VA (July 25, 2018) – On Friday, August 3, 2018, Friends of Leesburg Public Arts (FOLPA) will unveil some of the 24 windows and shutters that have been painted by local artists for their “Windows on Leesburg Arts” fundraiser.

The kick-off event will take place at 6:00 p.m. on the back porch of Delirium Café (101 South King Street) in downtown Leesburg. Following the kick-off, the painted windows and shutters will be on display in downtown businesses through September 20, 2018.

During the Arts in the Alley festival on Saturday, September 22, the windows and shutters will be auctioned off. The auction will begin at 4:00 p.m. at De Landtsheer Art Gallery (2B Loudoun Street SW). Proceeds from the auction will benefit ongoing FOLPA public art programs in Leesburg, including the Stanley Caulkins Memorial and the new mural on the King Street bridge over Town Run.
