Art sPARKs Sculptures For Sale

Five sculptures currently on display in Raflo Park will be replaced with new works of art in July.

Leesburg, VA (June 14, 2018) – In July 2016, the Leesburg Commission on Public Art unveiled the “Art sPARKs” sculpture trail in Raflo Park. Sponsored by Lansdowne Development Group and Middleburg Bank, Art sPARKs features five sculpture pad sites along a winding trail through the park. The current installation of sculptures will be removed in late June and replaced in July with five new sculptures that will be on display until June 2020.

The currently installed sculptures are for sale. Prices for the sculptures range from $1,400 to $2,800. Twenty percent of the sale proceeds will go the Friends of Leesburg Public Arts to fund future sculpture installations. The remainder of the proceeds will go to the artists.

The five sculptures, sponsors, and prices are:

  • Birdhouse #6 by Michael Clay, sponsored by Rotary Club of Leesburg, $2,200
  • Sproutman by Brian Kirk, sponsored by Burgevin & Larkin, Wells Fargo Advisors, $2,200
  • Unity by Brian Kirk, sponsored by Rehau, $1,800
  • The Artist by Peter Wood, sponsored by Don Knutson, $2,800
  • Trailblazer by Peter Wood, sponsored by Lawrence & Suzanne Stipek, $1,400
