Leesburg Debuts New Automated
Payment System in Town Hall Parking Garage
Hours of operation and
rates unchanged.
 Leesburg, VA (April
11, 2018) – The newly
installed automated payment system at the Town Hall Parking Garage will go into
operation on Monday, April 23, 2018.
The hours of operation for paid
parking remain Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. However, the
merchant validation program has been discontinued and replaced with an
additional hour of free parking for all patrons. Parking rates also remain the
same, with the exception of the additional hour of free parking. The first two
hours are free and each additional hour (or portion of an hour) is $1.00 with a
$10.00 daily maximum.
With the new system, entry and
exit gates will always be down, and drivers will have to take tickets to enter
the garage at all times. Drivers should take their tickets with them and pay at
one of three pay stations before exiting the garage. After paying, drivers will
insert tickets into the exit kiosks and the gates will rise, allowing them to
exit. Drivers will have 15 minutes from time of payment to exit the garage
without additional charges. All pay stations will accept credit and debit
cards. The pay station by the parking garage elevator will accept cash payments
in addition to credit and debit payments.
Drivers will be able to exit onto
either Market Street or Loudoun Street, and the exit kiosks will accept credit and
debit card payments. A future enhancement to the new system will be automated “Lot Full”
signs at both entrances.
