New Traffic Pattern on Battlefield
Parkway Between Dulles Greenway and Masons Lane Will Begin January 8, 2018
Traffic will
be shifted from Masons Lane onto the newly constructed section of Battlefield
Parkway.
Leesburg,
VA (January 3, 2018) – As part of the construction of Battlefield Parkway from South King
Street (Route 15) to the Dulles Greenway, Masons Lane has been realigned to intersect
with Battlefield Parkway west of Evergreen Mill Road. On Monday, January 8,
2018, weather permitting, traffic will be shifted onto the realigned Masons
Lane and the newly constructed westbound section of Battlefield Parkway.
In addition, traffic on Battlefield Parkway between Evergreen Mill Road
and the Dulles Greenway will be shifted on the newly constructed westbound lanes,
to allow reconstruction of the existing lanes. Drivers are cautioned to be
aware of these changes in traffic patterns and remain alert when traveling in
this area.
When completed, Battlefield Parkway will have two travel lanes in each
direction, separated by a landscaped median, from South King Street to the
Dulles Greenway. The entire project is expected to be completed in late summer
2018.
