Dear Sully District Community Members,
We hope this message finds you well. We’re writing to share some important updates and good news from the Sully District.
We are proud to report that crime is down in our community. This positive trend is a testament to the dedication of our officers, the strength of our community partnerships, and the proactive efforts we've undertaken together to prioritize public safety. We extend our sincere thanks to our residents, business owners, and community leaders for their continued engagement and collaboration in making this progress possible. For a closer look at local crime trends, please visit the FCPD Open Data Portal here .Fairfax County Police Open Data Portal
One initiative we’re especially excited to highlight is the Fairfax County Police Department’s new Community Camera Sharing Program. This voluntary program allows residents and businesses to register or integrate their security cameras with the department. In the event of a nearby incident, detectives can quickly identify potential video evidence and reach out to those registered—streamlining investigations while respecting individual privacy. It’s another step in using technology to promote transparency, build trust, and prevent crime more effectively. You’ll find more information in our highlight article below.
As always, we remain committed to open communication and strong collaboration. Sully is already a connected and resilient community, and we’re eager to keep building on that foundation. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team with any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Maj. Jane Russell
