Early Voting
Friday-Sunday, Hours Vary
Vote early this weekend at 16 locations throughout the county for the November General Election. Voters must show identification to vote. If you can't make it in person, request a mail-in ballot by Friday, Oct. 25, at 5 p.m.

Fall Farmers Markets
Friday-Sunday, Times Vary
Shop from a variety of seasonal produce, local goods and handmade items at our McLean, Kingstowne, Burke, Reston and Lorton farmers markets this weekend. SNAP is accepted at our Reston and Lorton markets.

Workhouse Haunt: Twisted Tales of Terror (7 - 9:45 p.m.)
Dare to visit the Workhouse Art Center's haunted trail? Twisted Tales of Terror promises a heart-pounding journey through the eerie remnants of the historic Workhouse prison. The haunted trail runs through Saturday, Nov. 2.

Creepy Crawly Pipe Cleaner Spiders (10 a.m. - 6 p.m.)
Get crafty and create your own pipe cleaner spider at the Thomas Jefferson Library. Supplies will be available near the information desk.
Legends and Lore Night Hike and Campfire (6:30 - 8 p.m.)
Spark your interest in Walney history through legends, lore and stories of the supernatural on a night hike at Ellanor C. Lawrence Park. End the night with s'mores around the campfire. Registration is $10.
Teen Laser Tag (8 - 9 p.m.)
Teens in grades 8-12 can battle in a laser tag showdown at the Chantilly Regional Library. Game coaches will set up the playing field, prepare players and referee the fun.

Halloween Block Party (10:30 - 11:30 a.m.)
Wear your costume and celebrate Halloween at the Oakton Library. The lot to the left of the library will be closed off for outdoor fun like sidewalk chalk, bubbles and games. There will also be crafts and additional activities.

Garden Talk: Make a Backyard Sanctuary for Wildlife (10:30 - 11:30 a.m.)
Habitat loss has reduced wildlife diversity in our neighborhoods. Learn how to attract wildlife such as pollinators, birds and other native insects to your garden at Green Spring Gardens Park. Registration is $12.
Family Fun - Pumpkin Painting (1 - 2 p.m.)
Learn how this gourd grew from its humble beginnings as a garden plant to an iconic symbol of fall at Green Spring Gardens Park. Track the life cycle from seed to sprout to pumpkin, and decorate your own pumpkin to take home. Registration is $10.
NaNoWriMo Kickoff Party (1 - 4 p.m.)
Get ready to write for National Novel Writing Month at the City of Fairfax Regional Library. Come meet fellow novelists and discuss strategies for writing 50,000 words in 30 days.
Tales to Tails (2 - 3 p.m.)
School age children and adult English language learners can read, tell a story or describe a picture to our certified listening dog at the City of Fairfax Regional Library.
Old Firehouse’s Festival of Frights and Trunk or Treat (5 - 8 p.m.)
Calling all families of ghouls and goblins! Come join the Old Firehouse in your best Halloween costumes for a night of live music, games, food, contests and tons of candy.
