Vaccine and Microchip Clinic (9 - 11 a.m.)
Bring your pet to get vaccinated and microchipped without the cost of a veterinary exam to our Animal Shelter's Lorton Campus. All clinics are first come, first served and are cash only.

Writing Through Transitions: An Introduction (10:30 a.m. - noon)
Journaling is a powerful tool for support during transitions. Learn writing techniques and strategies and how to avoid common journaling pitfalls at the Oakton Library.
Anansegro of Ghana: African Drum, Songs, Stories and Games (11 - 11:45 a.m.)
Take an imaginary journey to an African village through highly interactive storytelling and role play at the Pohick Regional Library. Explore the sight and sounds of traditional instruments with Anansegro of Ghana.
Create Calm (1 - 1:45 p.m.)
Join Tysons-Pimmit Library for a rejuvenating yoga session. Participants will be guided through a series of poses specifically to help relieve anxiety and practice mindfulness.
Chair Yoga for Adults (2:30 - 3:30 p.m.)
Find stability, alignment and integrity through stretches and safe movement from the comfort of a chair at Great Falls Library.
Fair Winds Tap Takeover (5 - 7 p.m.)
Enjoy local craft beer from Fair Winds Brewery and contests and prizes at Pinecrest Golf Course. This event includes four tasting tickets and two full-sized beer tickets and snacks.

Capoeira Performance (2 - 3 p.m.)
Learn about Brazilian culture through martial art, music and dance at the City of Fairfax Regional Library. Watch Brazilian performances including Capoeira, a traditional Brazilian martial art combining music and acrobatics, and Maculelê, a fast dance performed with sticks or machetes.

QPR Suicide Prevention Training (9 a.m.)
Question, persuade and refer are the three steps anyone can take to help prevent suicide. Learn how to recognize the warning signs, how to intervene and where to refer someone who is in crisis in this virtual training session.
Open Hire Event (10 a.m. - noon)
Join us for an open hire event at the Gerry Hyland Government Center in Alexandria. Interested candidates should bring copies of their resume and prepare to interview on the spot.
Spanish Conversation Group (10:15 - 11:15 a.m.)
Practice your Spanish language conversation skills with a native speaker at the Kings Park Library. Basic knowledge of Spanish is required.
Fabric Origami Flowers (10:30 - 11:30 a.m.)
Learn how to make origami flowers with fabric at the Burke Centre Library. For ages 10 to 18.
Dairy Days - Ice Cream Making & Butter (11 a.m. and 1 p.m.)
Churn butter, crank ice cream, milk a fake cow, play 18th century games and experience the products of an historic dairy at the Sully Historic Site.

Animal Shelter Volunteer Recruitment Fair (9 - 11 a.m.)
Do you have a passion for animals? Our Animal Shelter is looking for volunteers to help the shelter in a variety of areas. Stop by our Michael R. Frey Campus in Fairfax to learn about our shelter and available volunteer positions.

Radical Raptors (9 - 10 a.m.)
Join a naturalist to search for signs of raptors and explore what makes them different from other birds at Burke Lake Park.
Fishing for Parent and Child (10 - 11:30 a.m.)
Fish alongside your parent or child as you enjoy the scenery at Lake Fairfax Park. Learn how to rig and use a fishing rod, how to safely fish and how to be environmentally conscious while fishing. Rod and bait will be provided.
US vs. UK: Who Does Tea Better? (1 p.m.)
Discover tea’s riveting history on both sides of the pond and the differences between the two tea cultures at the Green Spring Gardens. A traditional British afternoon tea served in the Historic House will follow the program.
Christmas in July - Crafts for Adults (2 - 4 p.m.)
Start early on your Christmas decorations and create honeycomb paper and marbleized glass ornaments at the City of Fairfax Regional Library.
