Magic: The Gathering Meet-Up at Herndon Library (3 - 5 p.m.)
Join our volunteer game masters for a weekly summer Magic: The Gathering Meet-Up at the Herndon Library. In this easy to learn fantasy-themed game, players use trading cards to compete in imaginary contests of magical prowess.

Ballet and Bookworms (10:30 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.)
Explore dance in a fun and imaginative way with the Bella Ballerina Dance School at the Burke Centre Library. This program is for girls and boys between the age of 2-5 years old with an adult.
French Conversation Group (noon - 2 p.m.)
Practice your French language conversation skills with a fluent French speaker at the Kings Park Library. Basic knowledge of French is required.
DIY Pride Pins (4 - 5 p.m.)
Come create your own pins to celebrate Pride Month at the Burke Centre Library. All supplies will be provided.
Rock the Block (6:30 - 9:30 p.m.)
Enjoy live music, a beer garden, food vendors and more at the City of Fairfax's Rock the Block event held in Old Town Square. Bring chairs or blankets to sit on.

Summer Sprint in the Park (9 a.m.)
Enjoy a free family-friendly 5k and 1-mile run at Lake Fairfax Park. The 5k begins at 9 a.m. followed by the 1 Mile Fun Run at 9:15 a.m. Enjoy the park while traveling across various terrain including grass, trails and open road.

Virtual Opioid Overdose & Naloxone Education Training (9 - 10 a.m.)
Learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose, what to do in an overdose situation and how to administer naloxone in this online course.
Storytime: Camping Adventures (11 a.m. - noon)
Join Miss Andréa for a storytime celebrating the fun of camping at the Patrick Henry Library. Enjoy stories, songs, bubbles and more.
Magic Treehouse Adventure (noon - 1:30 p.m.)
Celebrate this year’s Summer Reading theme with crafts and activities based on one of our favorite adventure series, Magic Treehouse by Mary Pope Osborne, at the Sherwood Regional Library. Build your own lantern, design a “Wild West” bandana, compete in an Olympic obstacle course and more.
Liberty Tea Party Quiz (1 p.m.)
Toast to the country’s independence and enjoy a traditional British afternoon tea at the Green Spring Gardens. Test your knowledge with a quiz about our nation’s early history, notable figures, symbols and events.
Adult African Drumming Funfare (4 - 5 p.m.)
Rediscover your inner child and join drummer Kofi Dennis in making steady-beat and rhythmic patterns with African djembe drums and shekeres at the Tysons-Pimmit Regional Library. There will be lots of movement, singing and chanting.

Author Event: Roger L. DiSilvestro (2 - 4 p.m.)
Join local author Roger L. DiSilvestro as he reads from his newest published work, Return of the Bison: A Story of Survival, Restoration, and a Wilder World at the City of Fairfax Regional Library. Di Silvestro is a former writer and editor for Defenders of Wildlife, the National Audubon Society and the National Wildlife Federation.
