The Water Mine and Our Special Harbor
Saturday-Monday, Hours Vary
The Water Mine Family Swimmin' Hole at Lake Fairfax Park and Our Special Harbor at Franconia Park open Saturday. The family water park and spray grounds offer slides, flumes, sprays, showers, floatables and more.

Farmers Markets
Friday-Sunday, Hours Vary
Shop from a variety of fresh produce, flowers, locally made goods and more at our farmers markets. Drop-off your food scraps to any of our markets. SNAP is accepted at the Reston and Lorton Farmers Markets.

Campfire Wagon Ride (Times Vary)
Enjoy Frying Pan Farm Park as day turns to night. Register for a wagon ride and enjoy the bonfire after your ride. Marshmallows will be provided for roasting.

Great Decisions: Risky Science Across Borders (1-3 p.m.)
Join us for a roundtable discussion of the article, "Risky Science Across Borders" by Mila Rosenthal at the Reston Regional Library. Collaboration helps advance science, but we'll discuss how we can find middle ground between sharing information and denying access.
Create a Stop Motion Animation Video (4-5 p.m.)
Make 3D figures, LEGO and other characters come to life at the Herndon Fortnightly Library. Learn to create your own stop-motion animation video using iPads. Feel free to bring your own device and characters.
Want to Dance (4:45-5:45 p.m.)
Learn beginning dance techniques as we move and groove at the Kingstowne Library. Come in comfy clothes and don't forget to bring a water bottle.

Chinese Culture Club (4:30-5:30 p.m.)
Explore Chinese history, art, music and culture through a variety of activities at the Dolley Madison Library. Learn about the Dragon Boat Festival celebration while enjoying traditional food and folk crafts. All activities will be facilitated in both English and Chinese Mandarin.

Build with LEGOs and make unique creations at the Pohick Regional Library. This program is for children ages 6-12.

Get your gardening questions answered by experts at the Chantilly Regional Library.
The Story of Korea: Presentation and Minhwa (민화) Folk Art Workshop (2-3 p.m.)
Learn about the culture, history and interesting story of South Korea, including an introduction to Korean traditional folk art known as minhwa (민화) at the Pohick Regional Library. Pop culture fans and curious newcomers alike are welcome to join and gain a better understanding of this vibrant country.
Time Travel Club at Herndon Library (2-3 p.m.)
Travel back in time at the Herndon Fortnightly Library. Learn about ancient civilizations through trivia and hands-on activities.
A Discussion of "A Streetcar Named Desire" (2-5 p.m.)
Enjoy a viewing of the 1951 classic movie A Streetcar Named Desire starring Marlon Brando and Vivien Leigh at the Chantilly Regional Library. A discussion will follow the film.
Night Hike and Smores Campfire (7-8:30 p.m.)
Enjoy a naturalist-led walk through the forest at Lake Fairfax Park to listen for nocturnal animals and to look for evidence of wildlife. End your hike at our campfire and s'mores.

Seedling, Herb and Small Plant Swap (noon-4 p.m.)
Welcome the growing season with this free seedling, herb and small plant swap at the Pohick Regional Library. Bring in plants and take some home. The library will start things off with a limited supply of herb and small house plants.

Writing on the Wall (1-3 p.m.)
Urban art or vandalism? Graffiti preserves history and culture in the self-expression of everyday people. Explore examples of graffiti and discuss whether it’s worthy of preservation at Green Spring Gardens.
Gardening for Pollinators (2-3 p.m.)
Join a master gardener at the Pohick Regional Library, and learn how to attract pollinators such as butterflies and bees to your garden.

Military Mondays at Park Authority Golf Courses (Hours Vary)
Now through October, all U.S. active duty and veteran military personnel get special pricing privileges for golf at the Park Authority's seven golf courses.

Huntley Meadows Monday Morning Bird Walk (7 a.m.)
Join the Friends of Huntley Meadows Park for a morning bird walk. Following the walk, join the group for breakfast to compile the morning's bird list. All are welcome.
Snake and Turtle Feeding (11 a.m.-noon)
Enjoy a brief presentation and demonstration by our animal caretaker staff at the Hidden Oaks Nature Center. One snake, two turtles and a toad will be fed.

The Summer Entertainment Series kicks off on June 1 with The United States Navy Band Cruisers. The Navy's premier music group will perform at the Workhouse Arts Center. The Summer Entertainment Series events will run through August. Learn more.
