Spring Farm Day (10 a.m.-3 p.m.)
Watch sheep shearing and antique farm equipment demonstrations at Frying Pan Farm Park. See cow and goat milking demos and participate in hands-on farm activities. Enjoy crafts, games and get an up-close introduction to the baby farm animals. A wagon ride is included with each paid admission.

The Sun - Our Neighborhood Star (11 a.m.-noon)
Learn what causes the sun to shine, the sun's life cycle and how the sun compares to other stars at Turner Farm Park. A discussion is accompanied by an observing session of the sun with solar telescopes, weather permitting.
Reston Water Safety Day (noon-2 p.m.)
Join us at the Reston Community Center for Water Safety Day. This family event will include an interactive water safety presentation, information booths, demonstrations and kid-friendly activities.
Family Skate and Dance Night: May the Fourth Be with You (6-9 p.m.)
Traverse the galaxy to the Franconia Rec Center for a Star Wars-themed Family Skate and Dance Night. Come dressed in the galaxy’s finest for a fun night out with family and friends. Skate or dance to music and enjoy themed decorations.
Twilight Boardwalk Stroll (7:15-9:15 p.m.)
Join a park naturalist for a guided walk along the forested paths to the wetland and experience Huntley Meadows Park as it transitions from day into night. Watch and listen for nocturnal residents such as beavers and owls.
Fairfax Poet Laureate - Poetry Beneath the Stars (7:30-8:30 p.m.)
Gaze at the night sky, dig deep and contemplate the cosmos through poetic form at Turner Farm Park. Star-gazing poetry examples and writing prompts will be provided. This event will include a telescope viewing in the Roll Top Observatory, weather permitting.
