A local bee keeper will share backyard beekeeping tips and everything you need to know about bees at the Thomas Jefferson Library. See demonstrations of a real hive without bees and beekeeping equipment.
Drug Take Back Day (10 a.m.-2 p.m.)
Safely dispose of unused or expired medications at drop-off locations throughout the county for Drug Take Back Day. Disposal is free, convenient, confidential and safe.
Intergenerational Upcycled Mobiles (10:30 a.m.-noon)
Come create beautiful and unique mobiles from upcycled items at the City of Fairfax Regional Library. Book pages, magazines, maps and other items will be provided.
Animal Talk with Hidden Pond Nature Center (11 a.m.-noon)
From ponds and creeks to woodlands and meadows, discover all the wonderful living things that call Hidden Pond home in a presentation at the Richard Byrd Library.
Sensory Day (1-4 p.m.)
Challenge your senses at the Old Firehouse. This unique and fun event will provide a sensory exploration through taste, smell, sound, sight and touch. This event is free and open to all.
Coloring Inside or Outside the Lines (2-4 p.m.)
Unwind, de-stress and re-center while you color at the Burke Centre Library. Come join us for a mindful afternoon of coloring pictures. All materials will be provided.
Community Plant Swap (2-4 p.m.)
Bring your cuttings, seeds, seedlings, transplants and plant and garden supplies for a community plant swap at the City of Fairfax Regional Library.
